- Slow Fish Africa was officially launched as a regional Slow Fish Network
- Slow Fish 2016 in North America: More than 200 fishermen, chefs, scientists, activists and students from 20 US states
- The network in Brazil has taken the first steps for two new Slow Food Presidia
- In collaboration with the Aalborg Convivium, Slow Food organized the "SLOW MEAT meets SLOW FISH" event in Thorup Strand, Denmark
- In 2016, Slow Food paid special attention to the project Ark of Taste
